Howard's Blog

It is just a general blog about nothing specific in general. It may address life, sports, politics, travel and any other thing that comes to mind. It will be out there for fun and banter. Coming soon. The blogged trip to New Zealand and Australia.

GAMEDAY

Illinois is about to take a beat down from the Buckeyes. Here at halftime, I am half dozing off at this uninspiring 13-0 lead for the Buckeyes. BORING. Well, the 2nd half was much more convincing. A 40-2 victory. Only complaint is the 2. Not much more to say about this game. They did what they had to do. 2 more weeks until Michigan game. Purple panzies (Northwestern) are next week in the Horseshoe.

Other observations from the day in college football:
Penn St. is for real, Wisconsin is not. Dominant defense, explosive offense. The old man still has it.

Vince Young should win the Heisman. Reggie Bush has Matt Leinart and vice versa. VY started the season with a freshman RB and unproven WR's and still has them as one of the most productive offenses.

Surprised at the outcome of the VT- Miami game. Not that Miami won, but how they just destroyed VT. There goes the controversy.

UCLA is a fraud.

Alabama won't go undefeated or even go to the SEC championship game. LSU and Auburn will probably beat them.

Here is my new Top 10 following the week:

1. USC

2. Texas

3. Alabama (only because they are undefeated)

4. Miami

5.Penn St.

6. LSU

7. UGA

8. Ohio State

9. Notre Dame

10. Virginia Tech
