I AM STILL ALIVE

HOLY SHIT. The bungee was absolutely amazing. After being pretty calm, the group of jumpers congregated around getting ready to depart on the 45 minutes to the jump site on the Nevis River. As we all started talking, the nerves started kicking in. Some of the others had the look of death on there face. As we arrived at the site and got harnessed in, we got our jumping order. It goes in order of weight from heaviest to lightest. I was right in the middle of the group of 22 jumpers. They than put you on a cable car type device to bring you over to the small box. With music blaring, I started to get really nervous. I remember thinking that I have never had sweat pour out of my armpits like that. It was like a waterfall. As several people jumped and came back talking about how awesome it was, started to feel pretty calm and relaxed. Until, it was my turn to get strapped in.

They put you in a chair and hook y0u up. Than they slowly walk you over to the edge. Your feet are strapped together so you don't move very fast, nor would I want to. Get to the edge and 5-4-3-2-1, I scream "GO BUCKS!!" and dive. The bungy was actually very smooth and you didn't even feel it pulling you back up, than you realize you are cool. I must admit a good part of me had been thinking "What the hell is the big deal about bungy jumping?" But it is unlike any feeling I have ever experienced in my life. AWESOME.

We will have a DVD watching when I get back so you can see the jump. I may have to charge for the viewing with all proceeds going to the "Beleza Relief Efforts." As for tonight, I need some rest, but not quite sure that it will happen. I am thoroughly exhausted. No way in hell could at last 4 weeks at this pace. As everybody seems to say down here, "Cheers"

Congratulations. Sounds like a rush. You missed a classic UGA-GT game. 14-7 Georgia with an interception at the 9 of Georgia to seal it with 1 minute to go. Boss is whining at the door.later.
