One week down....

After a truly amazing first week, much needed rest was on the agenda for last night and the goal was accomplished. I feel refreshed and ready to go for 3 more weeks. Hell yeah. Today, I am going to just lounge around Queenstown for a few hours before catching the bus to Te Anau for my kayaking trip on the Milford Sound tomorrow. Super excited about that. The weather has been amazingly beautiful with every day being sunny. Knock on wood. Milford Sound is notorious for rain, so we shall see. An English couple that I met in Franz Josef did the same trip I am about to do and they said they kayaked in the pouring rain for 4 hours. But, added that it didn't take anything away from the trip. It actually made it better. For those unfamiliar with the Milford Sound, do a google search for images and check out some of the views. Actually, the Schwartz family has a picture hanging in their house that they took while there.

As I type this, I have 2 brochures sitting next to me for activities on my last day in Queenstown. Have to go out with a blast, I guess. One brochure is for aerobatic flights where you go up in a plane and do the stuff you would see in an air show and the other brochure is for tandem hang gliding. What has come over me? I live an incredibly boring life in Atlanta. It remains to be seen which one I may do.
