Idiot of the Day

This man, Ray Nagin, Mayor of New Orleans could have been nominated for idiot of the year. Granted, there were many colossal failures in the extremely sad Hurricane Katrina disaster. But, this man has failed his people, not shown to be a great leader and constantly brings negativity to the situation. The man failed to mobilize buses to help evacuate people from New Orleans despite having plans in place among other miscues. He was not alone in failing miserably.

Yesterday was a day to celebrate a great leader, Martin Luther King. A man who stood for what was right and was truly a strong figure in the midst of tough times. Ray Nagin has brought no strength and leadership in these difficult times. And he took it upon himself to get on the podium yesterday and say "It's time for us to come together. It's time for us to rebuild New Orleans _ the one that should be a chocolate New Orleans." Purely idiotic statements, but typical considering what we have seen out of him the last year.
