Back in Queenstown and Cheers
I am back in Queenstown and digesting my lunch here after my short bus trip from Te Anau. Last night ended with the tour of the Glowworm Caves. They are underground caves with rivers flowing through and limestone rock where Glowworm's are the bug of choice. These little worms, who have a 4 day lifespan radiate light from there belly when they are hungry. I have to admit it was unimpressive at best. After about 2 minutes of looking at the Glowworms, I thought "That's great. Can we leave now?" Maybe I was just overly exhausted from the Kayak trip that day. Anyways, glad I went to see them.
So the last couple of days will be spent here in Queenie as the locals call it. After my lunch gets digested and I get done with this blog and email, I am going to head off to a 3-4 hour hike which ends with some incredible views of The Remarkables. The Remarkables are the mountain range here where the best skiing in New Zealand takes place. Tonight, I will hook up with Jane for a night on the town. And tomorrow will finish up with Hang Gliding. You read that right, I have booked my hang gliding trip. It actually starts on The Remarkables. It is going to be awesome. After that, Friday is a travel day that takes me to Sydney, Australia where I will meet up with my awesome cousin Debbie. That is going to be great.
Cheers to the following for making this time in New Zealand awesome. This is my best shot at it and doesn't include everyone:
Jane- Amazing kiwi woman
Uncle Jerry- Great to see him in Christchurch
Air New Zealand- Locating my bags, getting them to me, and buying me $100 worth of clothes.
Greg Bogun- Hooking me up with the All Blacks jersey at cost.
Old Countryhouse Christchurch- Great comfy place to stay.
Rich- Awesome guide on Franz Josef heli hike
Karina- Fun german girl from Heli Hike
John- Great irish guy who was my roommate in Franz Josef before reconnecting in Queenstown.
Shaz, Alex, Dean, and Gary- The other 4 who along with Jane made 2 great nights in Queenstown.
Elad- Israeli guy from the bungy jump who took pictures for me.
Livvy- Irish girl from bungy jump who I reconnected with in Te Anau and who did the glowworm cave tour with me.
Tim- Absolute best guide. Sea kayak guide who took me for a side hike to The Chasm by the Milford Track.
Pam and Ron- Couple who invited me to see the Pancake rocks and blowholes.
2 Unnamed Aussie Sr. Citizens- 60K kayaking on 3 day trip on the Doubtful Sound. Impressive.
Andy, Gordon, Dana and Rick- For covering my ass back at work.
Elliott- For covering my ass at the house.
Todd- For graciously lending me a bag and 3 fleeces (which are all now located in China)
Mom and Laura- If I didn't put them on here, I would get yelled at.
All apologies to anybody who I may have left off.

Nice, sounds like NZ was cool, hopefully Australia will be even better. Boss just read the blog and was furious she didn't get a shout out. She is forcing me to throw your Ted Williams' signed baseballs to her, What can I do?..She is the boss.

Dear Howard,
So sorry I couldn't make it to Christchurch and haven't been in touch. I'm just dealing with being pregnant, unpacking from the move and getting used to paying off a mortgage.
Did Jerry tell you we just bought our first home? What a pity you couldn't make it to the North Island and meet your 6 year old cousin.
If you had been anywhere in the North Island I could have gotton there but the South Island is a big expensive trip from here. It costs more than going to Australia!
Also we are going to the South Island in Decemeber to stay with Richard's family as his Dad is 75 and wants to see us for Christmas. Pity they didn't coincide, Nelson is not that far from Christchurch.
Hope you come back some time!
Would love to visit the States but with a six year old, a mortgage, and a baby on the way I don't think I'll be going overseas anytime soon.
Love
Lisa

Sweet. Along with the penguin and the pictures from Kenya, can you make sure my bag brings home a couple of boxes of chinese takeout?

Todd. Another problem. Your fleeces have been confiscated by the authorities and shipped off to Bangladesh for inspection. Rumor has it that they may meet your bag there.

Elliott- Don't give in to Boss' temper-tantrums. I've noticed she's doing a good deed everyday while your at work and Howard is at play...She's on the web-site:
http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com
With just one click a day she is helping to feed her fellow felines and canines...So ease up on her Elliott....If worse comes to worse you can fly her to NY for only $69.00 one way. (meals not included).....
