Howard's Blog

It is just a general blog about nothing specific in general. It may address life, sports, politics, travel and any other thing that comes to mind. It will be out there for fun and banter. Coming soon. The blogged trip to New Zealand and Australia.

Look Who's Back...

First, I would like to apologize to all the loyal fans of howardkalin.blogspot.com for the long hiatus. I know that every day you have taken valuable time to click through this blog and I have let you down. Nothing for over two weeks. I have left Elliott and DDR up way too long. So today, we will address a lot of material. Thanks for hanging in there with me. Here we go:

TIGER WOODS BUNGEE JUMPS NEVIS

So maybe Tiger Woods has done a few things in his life that I haven't done. Like winning a whole bunch of golf tournaments and becoming the most famous athlete in the world. But, I beat him to the punch and did the Nevis bungee jump in New Zealand before him. While out there for his caddies wedding, Tiger did the bungee jump. Pretty cool. I would love to see the video.

Cynthia McKinney is a MORON and so is anybody who votes for her

This might be the most obvious statement ever put on this blog. This lady has time and again shown herself to be a complete buffoon and embarrassment. Whether it is her ridiculous comments after 9/11, anti semetic remarks, punching of the security guard or blatant racist actions, this lady is an absolute embarrassment to be representing GA in the House. I have no sympathy for any of the lost souls who cast a ballot for her. After she was voted out the first time, they came out and blamed it on the "J-E-W-S." Maybe the jews are the only ones who have any sense in that district. As somebody once said to me, "People get the representation in government they deserve."

Stock Market Investing Is Maddening

First, I will tell you that I extremely enjoy investing and playing the market. Second, I will tell you that if you pay attention to the market on a daily basis, it can make you mad. You have to keep in mind that it is a marathon and not a sprint. Which to be quite honest, I lose track of. Here is an example. One day last week, it was complete euphoria as the market went soaring, everybody made money and my portfolio went up over 2%. We turn to yesterday and absord an over 1% drop in the portfolio. You just have to have more good days than bad and understand down days in the market are part of the equation.

Tuesday Tidbits
  • Private Schools or Public Schools- Give me a call if you want my opinion.
  • Gas prices- Elliott brought up a good point yesterday. Oil companies profit 10 cents per gallon, the government taxes gasoline 50 cents per gallon. Who should we investigate?
  • George Bush's approval rating at an all-time low.
  • Bike riding the Silver Comet trail was extremely enjoyable. Let me know if you want to go for a ride.
  • No wonder sexual assault victims most of the time don't come forward. They get dragged through the mud.
  • Finally a good episode of The Sopranos
  • Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is much scarier than Saddam Hussein ever was.
  • In defense of the Iraq are, Jeff said, "We are doing the world some good." Are you kidding me?
  • Top white house posts go to Jews. and............ Bush still sucks.
  • On that note, It is 10:58 and Michigan still sucks.
  • Spring football games lead to overhyping your own players.
  • Yankees better get some pitching if they wan't to be a viable threat.
  • Leaving for Vegas on Sunday. HELL YEAH!!!
  • Hopefully, I will be saying the same thing when I leave Vegas to return home.
  • I will not put all of my money on the Jets to win the Super Bowl. Or any of my money for that matter.
  • John Fulcher is the man when it comes to the BBQ grill. Amazing pulled pork, beer butt chickens, etc.
  • Today's fitness supplements are unreal. No wonder athletes are performing at high levels at older ages than ever before.
  • I was surprised to read that even though Greg Maddox has 4 Cy Young awards that he only has 2 20 win seasons.

Cynthia Mckinney can thank Republican gerrymandering for the J-E-W-S no longer being in her district. Republicans can't even get that right.
